Edit TM entries

You can search, review, and correct individual entries in your Translation Memory. This is useful when you notice a mistranslation being suggested repeatedly, or when brand terminology has changed.

Prerequisites

A Translation Memory already exists with at least one entry.

Browse and search entries

  1. In the sidebar, click Translation Memory and open the TM you want to edit.
  2. The TM detail page shows all translation units (segment pairs).
  3. Use the search bar to find a specific source or target text.
  4. Use the language filter to narrow entries to a specific target language.
  5. Use the source filter to see entries by edit type (AI, human, imported).

Edit a single entry

  1. Find the entry you want to change and click its row. A Segment Details panel slides out from the right.
  2. Source and target text show read-only at first — click the Edit (pencil) button next to the field you want to change.
  3. Modify the text in the field that appears.
  4. Click Save Changes.

note

Editing source text changes what the TM matches against in future projects. Only do this if the source has genuinely changed.

Delete an entry

  1. Open the entry's Segment Details panel (click its row).
  2. Click Delete Segment.
  3. Confirm in the Delete Segment? dialog.

Deletion is permanent. If you need to recover deleted entries, you'll need to re-import a TMX backup.
